The Opportunity: Founding Lifecycle Marketer
You’ll be the first dedicated marketer on a 10-person, product-heavy team directly working with the CEO. You will own the full conversion funnel from registration, paid conversion to retention. We have a massive audience of engaged investors and a very sticky subscription product but have done very little so far to build up and optimize our conversion (monetization) funnels.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years experience driving subscription growth for a B2C product in investing, trading or personal finance space
You can write great copy that sells - experience with direct response, especially in finance strongly preferred
Generalist skillset - you will be building across diverse channels including direct response email campaigns, in-product conversion funnels and ads
Strong track record of developing and launching performance-driven campaigns - at StockStory we prefer profitable over pretty
A data-driven mindset - able to track, measure, and optimize results
Experience with (or excitement to explore) AI tools and automation to boost scale and productivity.
Passion for the stock markets, you have to be an active investor yourself
Fast learner with a growth mindset (we are not expecting you to know everything but are expecting you to learn it quickly). Keen eye for detail and a high bar for quality.
Responsibilities include:
Lead ideation and development of new campaign and conversion funnels from 0 to 1
Build, run and optimize direct response and lifecycles email campaigns (including deliverability)
Optimize conversion rates across the whole funnel, from new user acquisition to subscription, retention and churn. You will be able to deploy most of your tests into production on the same day
Collaborate with engineering team to automate and streamline marketing operations and build in-product funnels to drive conversion
Own analytics dashboard and help the business make data-informed decisions. Perform user interviews to uncover insights that compound growth.

Location: NYC (Hybrid) | Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 base + equity
