Title: VP of Sales
Location: San Francisco - Hybrid (M, T, TH)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our outstanding sales leadership team as the Vice President of Sales. In this critical role that reports to our CRO, you will be responsible for scaling and leading our Sales organization across North America and Europe, overseeing our Commercial and Enterprise Sales segments as well as our BDR and Sales Engineering teams.
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and support the pursuit of sales, with a leadership style that inspires team members to always put their best foot forward. You should know how to work cross-functionally by building and leading alignment with Customer Success, Marketing, and other cross-functional departments. In addition to leading new logo growth, you’ll be tasked with growing existing footprints and executing agreements across Commercial and Enterprise accounts.

What you will own:
- Lead, drive and deliver against the Productboard vision and mission
- Inspire and lead a team of quota-carrying Managers and Account Executives to exceed sales targets and other key objectives, while also providing leadership and support to the BDR and Sales Engineering teams.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent
- Drive prospecting and other activities to maximize engagement across target accounts.
- Develop and execute against segment and territory plans to maximize market penetration
- Accurately forecast your business's short and long-term goals
- Assign and evolve territories to maximize growth
- Coach sales teams throughout the sales cycle, including opportunity development, advancement, and closure
- Ensure your sales team fully reports sales progress in SFDC and works effectively with operations, sales engineering, and other internal/external teams
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activity, and client opportunities: attend trade shows, industry events, internal meetings, and conferences
What you should have:
- 8+ years of experience leading net new logo and expansion sales teams
- 3+ years as a second-line sales leader selling complex SaaS solutions
- Demonstrated Enterprise account sales leadership experience and track record of success in a high-growth environment
- Proven track record of consistent over-achievement
- Excellent cross-functional partnership and interpersonal skills
- Experience devising sales strategy, capacity planning, and contributing to enablement programs
- Ability to simply articulate intricate ROI, data, and analytics concepts
- An energetic self-starter who is proactive in holding yourself accountable
