About the Role
The Senior Implementation Manager (Core Banking) is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of core banking system implementations for financial institutions across the Philippines and Asia.
This role owns the successful execution of assigned implementation projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards. The position combines strong project leadership with solid functional understanding of banking processes and core banking systems.
The Senior Implementation Manager operates as an experienced individual contributor, independently managing customer-facing implementations while collaborating closely with technical and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of assigned core banking implementations (Discovery → Configuration → UAT → Go-Live).
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, milestones, and dependencies.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and scope changes.
- Facilitate project governance including kick-offs, weekly updates, and steering committee meetings.
- Ensure adherence to established delivery methodology, documentation standards, and quality checkpoints.
Functional Analysis & Configuration
- Lead requirement-gathering workshops with customer stakeholders.
- Analyze banking products, operational processes, and reporting requirements.
- Translate business requirements into system configuration.
- Configure loan products, deposit products, GL settings, user roles, limits, and workflows as required within assigned projects.
- Ensure alignment between functional setup and integration requirements.
Testing & Go-Live Management
- Prepare and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Oversee test case validation and issue resolution.
- Coordinate migration readiness and cutover planning.
- Support go-live execution and stabilization.
- Ensure structured handover to Support following successful go-live.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary delivery contact for assigned customer projects.
- Maintain strong working relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Manage expectations through clear communication and structured progress reporting.
- Ensure customer readiness for go-live through effective coordination and planning.
About You
Experience
- Minimum of 6-8 years in years in implementation, consulting, or delivery roles within banking, fintech, or financial software environments.
- Strong understanding of banking processes (e.g., loans, deposits, GL, operations, reporting).
- Direct exposure to core banking systems, either through implementation, configuration, data migration, or transformation projects.
- Experience working with banks, microfinance institutions, or fintech organizations.

- Ability to independently manage complex customer-facing projects.
- Clear and structured communication with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within an implementation project.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with diverse teams across regions.
Preffered Experience
- Prior leadership of a full core banking implementation or similar complex financial systems project.
- Familiarity with data migration or API-based integrations (coordination level).
- Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, Banking, Engineering, or related field preferred.
