About the Role

The Senior Functional Analyst plays a key role in the delivery of Oradian’s Core Banking System implementations by owning functional analysis, documentation, and functional validation across customer projects. This role strengthens delivery quality by ensuring functional clarity, consistency, and validation across implementation projects.

This role works closely with Senior Implementation Managers and Technical Consultants and is expected to operate with high autonomy, strong banking domain knowledge, and the ability to challenge requirements when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Analysis & Design Support

• Lead and support functional discovery workshops with customer teams.
• Analyse banking products, operational processes, and workflows.
• Translate business requirements into clear, structured functional documentation.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or unrealistic expectations early and escalate appropriately.
• Support functional solution design under the guidance of the Implementation Lead.

Functional Documentation & Traceability

• Own preparation and maintenance of functional documentation (BRDs, process flows, configuration notes, etc).

• Maintain traceability between requirements, configuration, and testing.

• Ensure documentation reflects agreed decisions and changes accurately.

Configuration Validation

• Support and validate core banking configuration activities (products, parameters, workflows, user roles).

• Review configuration outputs to ensure alignment with functional requirements.

• Flag functional issues or misalignment early.

Testing & UAT Support

• Lead preparation of UAT scenarios and test cases from a functional perspective.

• Support UAT execution and defect triage.

• Validate that delivered functionality meets agreed business requirements.

• Ensure fixes resolve issues without breaking other functional flows.

Delivery Collaboration

• Work closely with Implementation Leads, Project Managers, and Technical Consultants.

• Support delivery planning by identifying functional dependencies and risks.

• Contribute to readiness assessments for UAT and go-live.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to standard functional templates, best practices, and delivery documentation.

• Support mentoring of junior analysts where applicable.

• Share functional insights and lessons learned across the delivery team.

About You

Experience

• 6-9+ years in functional analysis, banking operations, fintech delivery, or core banking implementation roles.

• Strong understanding of banking products and processes (e.g. lending, deposits, accounting, customer lifecycle).

• Experience working on system implementation or transformation projects.

• Exposure to core banking platforms or financial system.

Skills

• Strong analytical and structured thinking.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

• Confidence engaging with customer stakeholders.

• Ability to challenge requirements constructively.

• Clear and precise written documentation skills.

• Comfortable working in parallel across multiple workstreams.

Preffered Experience

• Experience in banking environment.

• Experience in consulting or delivery environments.

• Exposure to regulatory or accounting considerations.

• Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
