About the Role
The Senior Implementation Lead (Core Banking) is responsible for driving both the project delivery and functional design workstreams of Oradian’s Core Banking System implementations. This hybrid role combines senior-level project management with deep functional expertise in banking processes and core banking systems.
The position leads the entire implementation lifecycle, from requirements and solution design to configuration, testing, go-live, and handover, ensuring that customer needs are met with high quality and within agreed timelines.
This role requires 8+ years of experience in implementation, consulting, or delivery roles within banking, fintech, or core banking vendors. Strong understanding of financial products, operational processes, and core banking functionality is essential. Experience leading a core banking implementation or a similar large-scale transformation project is a major advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Leadership
· Leads end-to-end delivery of core banking implementation projects.
· Develops project plans, manages timelines, dependencies, risks, and scope.
· Facilitates governance: project kick-offs, weekly updates, customer reviews, and steering committees.
· Ensures consistent application of Oradian’s delivery methodology and quality standards.
Functional Analysis & Solution Design
· Leads all functional discovery and requirement-gathering sessions.
· Conducts detailed analysis of customer banking processes, products, and operational workflows.
· Translates requirements into Oradian configuration, ensuring alignment with best practices.
· Oversees creation and review of BRDs, FSDs, workflows, and functional documentation.
System Configuration & Functional Ownership
· Owns configuration of loan products, deposit products, GL settings, user roles, limits, and workflows.
· Ensures all functional components meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
· Coordinates closely with Technical Consultants to align functional and technical designs.
Testing, Training & Change Management
· Leads preparation and execution of UAT, including test case validation and issue resolution.
· Provides training to customer teams on system functionality and operational processes.
· Ensures customer readiness for go-live through structured communication and support plans.
Go-Live & Handover
· Oversees go-live preparation, migration readiness, and functional approval checkpoints.
· Supports cutover activities and hypercare stabilization.
· Leads structured handover to Support following successful stabilization.
Internal Collaboration & Contribution
· Works closely with Technical Consultants, Product, Engineering, and Support teams.
· Mentors junior functional and delivery team members.
· Provides input to improve Oradian’s delivery framework, templates, and best practices.
About You
Experience
· 8-10+ years in implementation, delivery, consulting, or functional analysis in banking or fintech.
· Strong functional knowledge of core banking systems, including product setup, GL, workflows, and reporting.
· Experience leading full lifecycle implementation projects (core banking, LOS, LMS, ERP, or similar).
· Direct exposure to financial institutions such as banks, MFIs, or fintech companies.
Skills
· Strong understanding of banking operations (lending, deposits, teller operations, accounting, risk, reporting).
· Ability to translate business requirements into system configuration.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills.
· Strong project leadership and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred
· Experience with data migration or API-based integrations at a coordination level.
· Experience working with distributed global teams.
· Familiarity with regulatory environments in emerging markets.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred.
