About IP Fabric

Join a pioneering force in network automation!

At IP Fabric, we enable people to uncover the truth about their networks. Built by network professionals and industry experts, our innovative solutions are transforming how enterprises manage their networks. As a post-Series B company, we're expanding rapidly across Europe, the U.S., and beyond.

About The Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one or more of our feature teams focused on data processing, analytics, and user-facing insights. These teams transform raw discovery outputs into meaningful intelligence that customers rely on for troubleshooting, compliance, automation, optimization, and risk management.

This role sits below CTO and above individual contributors, balancing people leadership with technical influence. You won’t be coding every day, but you lead architecture decisions, support engineers in solving complex data problems, and ensure that your teams deliver high-quality, scalable features.

You will guide engineers working with distributed pipelines, analytical models, backend APIs, and data-intensive services that power the core value of the IP Fabric platform.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend and full-stack engineers focused on IP Fabric’s analytical capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide structured growth paths, feedback, and coaching to help engineers thrive.
  • Hire and onboard new team members as the team scales.

Technical Direction & Architecture

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on designing scalable and maintainable data processing systems.
  • Influence technical decisions around data modelling, APIs, performance, and system reliability.
  • Ensure engineering best practices across testing, observability, documentation, and quality.
  • Remain close enough to the code to understand challenges and guide solutions.

Execution & Delivery Ownership

  • Translate product requirements into actionable engineering plans and roadmap milestones.
  • Manage prioritization, sprint planning, and execution to ensure timely delivery of value.
  • Promote a predictable, sustainable delivery cadence without compromising quality.
  • Ensure analytical features scale with customer demands and growing dataset volumes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Managers to turn customer problems into well-defined engineering work.
  • Work with UX, QA, Network Engineering, and other feature teams to ensure technical coherence.
  • Represent your teams in planning, roadmap discussions, and cross-team initiatives.

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally with distributed or data-heavy systems.
  • Proven leadership experience (team lead, tech lead, or engineering manager).
  • Strong skills in TypeScript/Node.js or Go, and willingness to work with both.
  • Experience with distributed/event-driven systems, or large-scale data processing.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL), caching (Redis), and messaging (RabbitMQ).
  • Ability to balance technical depth with people-oriented leadership.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with data analytics platforms, ETL pipelines, or domain modeling.
  • Exposure to observability tools such as Sentry, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with Kubernetes deployments (cloud or on-prem).
  • Passion for building products that help organizations make sense of complex systems.

Our Tech stack

  • Node.js, TypeScript, Go
  • PostgreSQL, Redis
  • RabbitMQ
  • Docker, Kubernetes
  • GitLab CI, Monorepo (Nx)

Benefits & Perks

  • 25 days of holidays + 5 flexi-days.
  • Pluxee Flexi Card (up to 16 000 CZK per year)
  • Full remote or hybrid role depending on your choice.
  • Anniversary rewards.
  • Collaboration with diverse, international teams.
  • A pet-friendly office at IP Pavlova.
  • Complementary and yummy snacks, coffee, brew and refreshments.
  • Regular team and company events.
