About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Technical Officer to lead our global engineering efforts. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with an eye toward innovation and growth. Reporting to the CEO, you will own the delivery of the flagship network assurance and automation product. You’ll work closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to keep our technological roadmap aligned with the market needs. and ensure we’re always one step ahead in the rapidly evolving network infrastructure space.

What You’ll Do

  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee the day-to-day management of the engineering organization, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of the product features and improvements.
    • Maintain engineering processes and KPIs (code quality, CI/CD pipelines, release management, patching, etc.) to drive efficiency and reliability.
  • Strategic Road Mapping & Technical Vision
    • Collaborate with Product and other executive leaders to define and execute a roadmap that supports business objectives and addresses enterprise-scale challenges.
    • Guide the evolution of our product architecture, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and aligned with customer needs.
  • Enterprise Customer Collaboration
    • Engage with key enterprise customers to understand complex networking requirements, workflows, and performance expectations.
    • Help translate customer feedback into actionable product enhancements, ensuring our offer remains best-in-class for large-scale, mission-critical environments.
  • Team Building & Leadership
    • Recruit, mentor, and develop a diverse, high-performing engineering team, building a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Structure the engineering org for scale to effectively respond to new customer demands and evolving market conditions.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Partner with leaders across the company to align technical initiatives with broader company goals.
    • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on engineering progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Budget & Resource Management
    • Manage engineering budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery of strategic projects.
    • Make data-driven decisions about resource allocation, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability.

What You'll Need

  • Startup/Scale-up Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 in CTO or senior technical leader role; ideally at a B2B SaaS or network technology company delivering B2B software for big enterprises in the EUR 10m–50m ARR range.
  • Track Record in Successful Scaling: Experience in rapidly growing tech organization and successfully delivering enterprise-grade solutions, adapting processes quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Enterprise-Grade Product Development: Proven track record delivering complex solutions to large enterprise clients (e.g., Fortune 500), with a deep understanding of compliance/security requirements.
  • Operational Excellence: Mastery of day-to-day engineering processes such as CI/CD pipelines, DevOps culture, QA, release cadence, and patching.
  • Strategic & Architectural Insight: Strong background in software development, architecture, and cloud-based systems.
  • Team Leadership: Experience building and leading teams of 30–100 engineers, fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
  • Networking & Infrastructure Domain: Expertise (or strong interest) in network technologies, automation, or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical language for executive teams, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to Prague on a regular basis. A valid EU work visa is a must.
