Who we are

At Fiat Republic, our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the crypto world by providing seamless, secure, and efficient fiat banking solutions. We empower crypto platforms to scale their operations with ease, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering trust among their users.

Our platform brings together crypto-friendly banks allowing crypto platforms to easily create accounts in multiple currencies, access local payment rails and FX via a single API built with a developer-first ethos. With a strong focus on AML, compliance and security, we believe that ultimately we can convince even the largest global banks to start servicing crypto platforms via Fiat Republic.

To support us through our journey, we have secured the support of Tier-1 VCs.

We are 3 years old, 35 people strong, with very diverse backgrounds and an inclusive culture, currently headquartered in London with a presence in the Netherlands, Poland, and Canada.

About the role

We are accelerating at an incredible pace and are now looking for a Sales Director with a hands-on approach to join the team and grow the number of members using our platform. This is a challenging role requiring deep domain expertise across banking and payments and the ability to credibly interact at the highest levels of management with both smaller and larger crypto platforms.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Growth & Commercial Officer and be in charge of developing its own book of crypto platform clients. This is a chance to get in on the ground floor at a fast-growing fintech backed by tier-1 VCs with an incredible team of payments and crypto experts to build lasting relationships with crypto platforms across the world, which will be key to our success.

Key responsibilities

  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities within the crypto and web3 space by working collaboratively with the marketing team, partner companies and attending industry events.
  • Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage the sales cycle through to contract signing — including coordinating technical conversations between clients and our Product and Development teams, contract and commercial negotiations, onboarding with the compliance team — up to go live and successful handover to the customer success team.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations and work with our legal counsel as required.
  • Play a direct role in developing strong customer relationships, up to C-level, to not just retain but grow revenues over time.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to help shape Fiat Republic’s platform to meet customers’ needs and ensure customer satisfaction, which will involve working with Product, Compliance and other Sales team members in the UK, EU, Canada and US.

Required skills and experience

  • A keen or growing interest in the crypto world and ideally previous experience working with crypto platforms.
  • Experience working in a similar function in a banking, payments or crypto role, ideally in a senior position as a single contributor (bonus points for having a black book bursting with relevant contacts!).
  • Having been accountable for ambitious revenue targets and consistently met or beat them.
  • The sales cycle for enterprise crypto platforms can be long and this role will require persistence, resilience and excellence in being able to differentiate our offering and its benefits, as well as building strong relationships with crypto platforms’ stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of banking, treasury and payments products and processes.
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering high-quality services associated with time-critical client business.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships.
  • The flexibility and organizational prowess (particularly planning and time management) to successfully work across the Fiat Republic Group with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk identification skills.
  • A background of interaction and familiarity with Risk and Compliance protocols.
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing and highly ambiguous work environment, where the answer to a question may not be immediately available.
  • Be a self-starter, capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision, but also a team player at heart.
