We started Deepnote to help data teams solve the most difficult problems. To do that, we don’t just need better algorithms, bigger datasets and more computing power. We need powerful tools that inspire us to explore, reason and collaborate. These tools do not exist yet. We need to invent them first.

We’ve been working on building a next generation computational medium since 2019 and have customers like Gusto, DAZN, Webflow, Ramp, Harvard University, and hundreds more on this journey with us. We’re building out the core team and we're looking for kind and curious people ready to grow with us.

😎 About you

We're looking for a Platform Engineer to accelerate our product development. You'll work on some of the most difficult problems in the field - we don't expect you to be an expert on everything, but we do expect you to learn fast and take a lead. Above all you are a true product builder and you are driven by delivering value to our customers.

Your responsibilities will range from helping us maintain, operate and improve our SaaS infrastructure all the way to helping us raise the bar when it comes to Continuous Delivery and Everything-as-code approach. You'll become an expert in data science tooling and we'll trust you to make the call which technologies we use and which processes we implement.

Kubernetes, AWS, CircleCI, Terraform

🧑‍💻 What you'll work on

You will maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure footprint

You will own our SaaS architecture. You will drive architectural decisions and own the execution.

Thanks to you, we will know about infrastructure problems before they happen. Monitoring is not something you take for granted.

You will seek opportunities to raise the bar when it comes to Infrastructure As Code and CICD (Looking at you Terraform and CircleCI).

You will support the other engineering teams by building reusable components to interface with infrastructure components like our storage services.

You will support our community of data scientists and developers and help them succeed using Deepnote.

⚡️ Bonus points

Next to AWS, you are skilled in GCP and or Azure

You have experience with fullstack development (React,TypeScript, NodeJS)

You have experience with Python (and data related libraries)

You love notebooks!
