Reporting to: Head of Communications
Contract type: Fixed term - Paternity cover (~4-6 weeks)
About Cera:

The Role:
We are looking for a creative and capable Content & Design Coordinator to provide short-term freelance cover while our designer is on paternity leave. You will sit within the Communications team, supporting the production of visual and video content across social media, press, and stakeholder communications. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who can hit the ground running with minimal briefing.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Production
- Create on-brand social media graphics, infographics, and short-form visual assets for use across LinkedIn, X, and other platforms
- Support the PR and Comms team with rapid-turnaround assets for media pitches, press moments, and stakeholder communications
- Keep Cera’s website newsroom up to date, ensuring content is accurate, on-brand, and timely
Video & Motion
- Edit and produce short-form video content for social and press use, including b-roll assembly, captions, and basic colour grading
- Create simple motion graphics and animations to bring data and product stories to life
- Use AI video tools to accelerate production timelines where appropriate
Design & Templates
- Produce presentation decks, white papers, and event materials to a high, CEO-ready standard
- Create and maintain Canva templates that allow the wider team to produce brand-aligned assets independently
What We’re Looking For:
Essential
- Proficiency in video editing software — Premiere Pro or equivalent — with a portfolio or examples of short-form work
- Solid visual design skills with a strong eye for brand consistency
- Proficiency in Canva and at least one further Adobe Creative Suite tool (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign)
- Motion graphics capability in After Effects
- Comfortable working at pace and responding quickly to changing priorities
- Familiarity with AI content tools such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini to support content iteration
Desirable
- Experience working in a HealthTech, SaaS, or similarly fast-growth environment
- Experience updating website content via Wix or WordPress
- Strong copywriting skills — the team can support with this but an instinct for clear, punchy copy is a plus
Working Arrangements
This is a freelance contract role providing cover for a fixed period of approximately 4–6 weeks. The exact start date and working pattern are to be agreed. Candidates should be available to work responsively during core business hours and comfortable operating as part of a small, high-output team.
